I have decided to do the Avon's Breast Cancer 3-day-walk from Kenosha to Chicago (60 miles) on June 15-17 2001. I have never done something like this before but I am really happy and excited to be part of this wonderful experience.

My husband's grandmother, Grandma Styka, was diagnosed with Breast Cancer last year. Thanks to an early detection and then a Mastectomy I am glad to say that she is a Breast Cancer SURVIVOR. I am doing this not only for her but for all the women that suffer from this disease. It is estimated that 40,000 women will die this year from Breast Cancer. I want to do something for all of them.

My goal is to fundraise no less than $1,900 by the end of April. I will do everything I can to raise this amount. I need your moral and economic support. All contributions will be important to me, no matter the amount.

The net proceeds from the event will support non-profit breast health programs in every region of the country, and medical research on breast cancer. The Avon Products Foundation, Inc., a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, will award grants to these types of organizations.
